Hotel suites in Myanmar's tourist spot Bagan have been occupied by
reservations for the coming peak season, according to the local
newspaper The Yangon Times.
Tour agencies' orders for the peak season have flooded the hotels and
already closed the reservations.
"The rooms have been occupied for even ordinary months from October to
January," said sale and marketing manager of Crown Prince Thiri Kyaw
Zin.
More tourists were expected this year's peak season as the ancient
city is one of the most interested tourist hot spot.
"We have 80 rooms. Booking rate is still under the previous year's.
But it would be filled in the ordinary travelling month," said Tharaba
Hotel's marketing manager Ngu Wah.
About 100 tourists on average are visiting the archaeological site of Myanmar.
Monsoon is known to be the low season in Myanmar's tourism industry.
