An ancient gold bracelet
was found by a farmer in
Kyibinkan village in Minbu
Township in Magway
Region on 20 June.
Farmer U Tin Tun
discovered the bracelet of
261 grams with a dragon
head while he was ploughing
a farmland one mile from the
village.
He handed over the
artifact to Minbu Township
Administrator.
The bracelet was
found by a villager Ma
Kay Zin of Letkhokgon
village in Minbu Township
in 2012 while working
for oil exploration project
and handed it over to the
Archeology Department
which awarded her more
than K 27 million as a token
of thanks. The bracelet
found by U Tin Tun of
Kyibinkan village will be
transferred to Archeology,
National Museum and
Library Department under
the Ministry of Culture.
