Myanmar Traffic Police Corps will deploy 1,000 well-trained traffic police to ensure less traffic jams and traffic accidents in upcoming 27th Southeast Asian Games to be hosted in Myanmar, official media reported Thursday.
Among them, some 200 traffic police will be deployed in Nay Pyi Taw, 260 in Mandalay, 600 in Yangon and 50 in Pathein and Ngwehsaung, said the New Light of Myanmar.
The traffic police would pay attention to reducing traffic in each host cities along the route of athletes and supporters.
Myanmar will host 27th SEA Games in Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay and Ngwehsaung beach in December this year.
