Renewed sectarian violence in Thandwe in western Myanmar state Rakhine
killed six and injured four up to Wednesday, according to local
newspaper Daily Eleven.
Myanmar president Thein Sein visited the state Wednesday for the first
time since the violence broke out in 2012.
He met reps from Arakanese and Muslim communities.
Religious monuments and houses were attacked by fire bombs in the
violence, leaving some 100 homeless.
The curfew has been imposed in the Thandwe Township as the two
communities exchanged arson attacks.
The government has beefed up security in the township.
Rakhine state was the original of communal rife in Myanmar broke out
since 2012 and spread to some parts of the country.
