IMPHAL, June 21 – For the second time in the aviation history of Manipur, Golden Myanmar Airlines will start its operation on a trial basis by introducing an Imphal-Mandalay round trip on June 27.
According to P Kunjabihari, proprietor of KB Enterprises, an Imphal-based private tour operator, a chartered flight of Golden Myanmar Airlines will connect Imphal and Mandalay as done on November 21 last year. If the public demand increases, a regular scheduled flight may be placed in the route.
Speaking to newspersons here recently, Kunjabihari said that the fare of the round trip will be Rs 14,500 and Rs 34,500 for Imphal-Mandalay-Singapore sector.
More than 100 Manipuris fly to Bangkok every month. Besides, more than 300 Manipuri girls are studying MBBS in China. At the sametime, many Myanmarese Buddhists love to visit Bodhgaya while Myanmarese Hindus visit Mayapur at least once in their lifetime.
