Myanmar villager sues police officers for punching

A Myanmar court in Yatsot, Shan state, is handling a case against police officers who have punched a resident.
On the evening of October 10, Tint NaingSoe, reported disturbing cars' horns to the local police.
Five polices officers arrived at the place to respond the call. A quarrel broke between Tint NaingSoe and the officers as they were solving the problem. According to Tint NaingSoe, the officers punched him that night.
The victim later filed a lawsuit to the court on November 17.
Interim Yatsot Police Chief Let. Col. MyoMyintHtwe said that Tint NaingSoe was rude that night. He added that Tint NaingSoe pushed an officer.
Another police Lt. Col. Aye Than said that the incident "has been investigated and the results have been submitted to the authorities for further actions."
