Released political prisoners relate their story

Political prisoners who were released on November 19 held a press conference at Royal Rose Garden Restaurant in Yangon on the evening of November 20.
They spoke about their period of imprisonment and recounted their stories so as to clear the public's doubts.
"We are holding this conference in order to have a clear conscience in our future struggles. There are many people like us who are jailed for no reason. It was an insult to our dignity. Although explanations were provided earlier [for our imprisonment], we would like to explain it to the public ourselves, too," said Myint Aye from Human Rights Protection Network who was released from Loi Kaw Prison.
At the conference, Assistance Association for Political Prisoners gave a donation to the released political prisoners, which included Zaw Zaw Aung, Latyar Tun and Thein Tun.
