A fire broke out in Hlaing township in suburban Yangon on Saturday morning, but no casualty was reported.
Sixteen anti-fire engines took half an hour to extinguish the flames, and it was put out by 9:40am, a firefighter said.
"The fire started from a cigar which was thrown away carelessly. It caught the dry grass there and burnt the logs," he said.
The blaze caught the logs being piled at the compound of Thein Oo Company in Hlaing (2) ward. The cost of damage has not yet been calculated, but the burnt logs belong to Myanmar Asia Express Company.
An executive from Thein Oo Company said that the logs were about 5 years old.
