BBQ Chicken to expand its market in Myanmar

South Korea based, BBQ Chicken (BBQ as in Best of the Best Quality) fast food restaurant will be opened at the corner of 31st street and Bogyoke Aung San Road in Yangon on June, according to the announcement of Myanmar Culinary Holdings Co. Ltd.

Myanmar Culinary Holdings Co. Ltd. entered into an agreement with Genesis BBQ Co. Ltd. to open the fast food restaurant. Myanmar Culinary Holdings Co. Ltd. is a subsidiary of YKKO Group. YKKO has been operating restaurants since 1988. YKKO Group established Myanmar Culinary Holdings Co. Ltd. to open BBQ Chicken using franchise system.

The fast food restaurant in Yangon will sell many kinds of fried chicken, roasted chicken, European food, coffee, soft drinks and beverages.

The fast food restaurant is founded in 1995 in South Korea and now they have about 4,000 shops in over the world. The restaurants are already opened in over the world including South Korea, China, USA, Japan, Vietnam, Mongolia, Philippines, Cambodia, Spain, Guam, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Turkey, Fiji, Venezuela, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil and Iran.

Myanmar Culinary Holdings Co. Ltd. intended to open over ten fast food restaurants before the end of 2014.

World famous fast food restaurants such as Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) are preparing to enter Myanmar market and the famous Lotteria fast food restaurant from Japan has opened its first restaurant in Myanmar during April.
