Commission being watched by Parliament









The Parliament is studying the work of the Myanmar Investment Commission has made during these years, according the officials from the Parliament.


The secretary Aye Mauk of the Parliamentary Planning and Financial Development Committee said, "The Parliament is always on alert for checking the commission whether it has been following the rules and procedures of the parliament. One of the commission's priorities is giving permissions for local and foreign companies to invest in the country."


He added some transaction the commission made was lack of transparency. Hledan flyover project was not clear. The commission was supposed to submit the project proposal to the Parliament in reality to get the approval of construction. However, it did not follow the rules and procedures and put the project into the state budget programs. If it found not following the rules and procedures while watching, the case will be discussed in the Parliament.
