Myanmar Reforms Lead EU To Reinstate Duty-Free Trade




Law360, New York (July 18, 2013, 2:43 PM ET) -- The European Union announced Thursday that it will lift 16-year-old trade restrictions with Myanmar following the country's advances in addressing human rights and labor concerns, opening the door to duty-free access to European markets.

Starting July 19, Myanmar will once again have access to a duty- and quota-free EU program designed to offer tariff reductions to developing nations.
