CFCI conducts social work in Burma Camp

Christ For the City International (CFCI), Nagaland, which is committed in transforming cities by transforming an individuals' life, conducted a social work at Burma Camp, near Mizo Church here Friday.


Interacting with media persons at the site of the social work, state CFCI base director Amos Humtsoe said main objective of the social work was to reach the gospel of Jesus Christ.


The social work was carried out by the volunteers drawn from different sections including students from Discipleship Bible College, Dimapur, Malaria department and CFCI, who cleared garbage dumped in the vicinity.


According to CFCI base director, social work must not only be confined to church alone but also in market place, offices and the slums by allowing the people to understand the adage "cleanliness is next to Godliness". He urged the people to keep their surroundings clean.


Humtsoe disclosed that more such social work would be conducted in different pockets of the district. With regard to this, he appealed to the responsible GBs or chairmen to contact (9402642538) for volunteers in assisting them cleaning up their respective colonies.
