The Harimau Muda coach was in jubilant mood after seeing his boys complete a memorable comeback in the to win the game
Ong Kim Swee praised his players for showing fighting spirit and won the match after trailing Myanmar 1-0 in the first half to win the game 2-1.
The Malacca-born coach also admitted Myanmar was a hard team to beat and believed that it was a tough match for his team.
Speaking to the reporters after the game, Kim Swee said, "It was a hard fought game. Myanmar was hard to defeat but the players showed their spirit and won the match. We gave them encouragement during the interval. It must be noted that they are still young players."
He also also singled out two defenders; Fadhli Shas and Zubir Azmi for showing formidable performances.
"Fadhli and Zubir did very well defensively. Everyone worked hard," he added.
However, Kim Swee stressed that he will only be satisfied if the team win the tournament and insist that there is still a long way to go in the Merdeka Tournament.
Asked on Nazmi Faiz's injury, the coach was quick to state, "Nazmi is not injured but he's suffering from cramps. It didn't happen during his time in Europe. We must help him to play 90 minutes."
Malaysia won their second consecutive game in the Merdeka Tournament after goals from captain Irfan Fazail and Wan Zack Haikal gave the Tigers all three points and through to the Finals.
