From yachtsmen to snooker players to banks, the final preparations for the 27th SEA Games are nearly complete.

Myanmar yachtsmen are busy with their final preparations. The team has had a busy training schedule since August of last year which has seen them train under two Myanmar coaches and seven foreign trainers. The team has said that it aims to win at least three medals at the competition.

It has also been reported that the former Asian Junior snooker champion, Keen Hoo, is set to make an international return at the SEA Games. Hoo has taken part in three previous SEA Games but has missed the previous two. Last week Hoo defeated Rory Thor Chuan Leong, Muhammad Reza and Iniesta Lim in a trial in Kuala Lumpur.

Finally, the Central Bank of Myanmar has granted permission for domestic banks to provide mobile banking services at the games. There will be mobile unites with currency-exchange counters and mobile ATMs. Aung Nanda Kyaw, manager of the Kanbawza Bank said that it plans to open 10 mobile units at sporting venues during the games.
