Jersey City man injured, given summonses following one-car accident, police say - The Jersey Journal

 A 22-year-old Jersey City man was given several motor vehicle
summonses after he flipped his car on Burma Road near Black Tom Road in Jersey
City early yesterday morning, police said.



At 12:19 a.m., police said the man, driving a 1999 Ford Mustang, was
driving at a high rate of speed heading east on Black Tom Road and went into
oncoming traffic to make a left turn onto Burma Road, police said. The driver
then struck a guardrail and flipped the Mustang, police said.



The driver exited the car via the driver's side window and
walked away from the scene, a witness told police.



Plain clothes officers, armed with a description of the driver, later found the driver walking on
Phillip Street near Communipaw Avenue, reports state. The driver said he had
been driving home and left his car on Burma Road, reports state.



He had a laceration above his left eye and was transported
to the Jersey City Medical Center to be treated for his injury, reports state.
