German automaker Volkswagen will gear into Myanmar with its first
maintenance workshop in the Southeast Asian country, according to the
local newspaper 7Day report.
The automaker will join up with local partner Yoma Strategic Holdings
to open its workshop in the country's commercial city Yangon.
The new workshop is expected to be opened during this month by Germany
Industries Company, the mother company of the world leading brand.
An official of Yoma Strategic Holdings who told 7Day on condition of
anonymity said the workshop will be opened in an easily accessible
area in Yangon.
The workshop will provide maintenance services to Volkswagen and spare
parts for Volkswagen.
The Volkswagen is the third biggest automaker in the world.
