European Union would provide uniforms for the police in Myanmar to help them handle conflicts more thoroughly, according to a report by local newspaper Daily Eleven.
The EU would provide them with European standard riot police suits, said Police Brig-Gen Thura Bo Ni of Myanmar Police Force.
He also said the entire police force would be trained front management and community policy.
The international-standard police manual is being drafted by the Myanmar Police Force and the police force training would be conducted once the manual is approved, he said.
The training would cover 10 police battalions in Myanmar.
"As the democratic government takes power, there have been much more police responsibilities," the senior police official said.
