'Perspectives on Burma' to be offered on Marblehead cable TV

In November, MHTV's "Changing Our World" will feature an interview with host Linda Weltner, who recently spent three weeks in Myanmar.

With producer Tom Gale acting as host, Weltner focuses not only on events in the country formerly called Burma but on Weltner's class at Salem State University's Explorers Program, where she presented five "perspectives on Burma," appearing as various Burmese characters with different points of view about the state of the country.

In this month's program, Weltner appears as Gen. Ne Win, the dictator who ruled Myanmar with an iron fist for 26 years. The program airs at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays on Comcast Channel 8 and Verizon Channel 28.
