South Korea will help Myanmar with rural areas development in the country, official media reported Sunday.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in development of rural areas in the country was signed between U Ohn Myint, Myanmar minister of livestock, fisheries and rural development and Lee Sang Me, president of South Korea Rural Community Corporation in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday, said the New Light of Myanmar.
Lee Sang Me said that South Korea will provide assistance to Myanmar in its efforts for national development.
He also affirmed that he will arrange to offer those from Myanmar a chance to learn expertise on agriculture, livestock breeding and veterinary at National University in Seoul of Korea.
Minister U Ohn Myint said that emphasis is to be put on the wishes of needy people in the least developed regions of the country in implementing rural development tasks, sharing equitable socioeconomic development fruits among national brethren.
