Myanmar's most venerated monk Nyannissara and Nobel laureate opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi were invited to The World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), according to the Voice report.
Dr Tin Myo Min, chairperson of the Health Committee of National League for Democracy the party led by the Nobel laureate parliamentarian, confirmed the invitation to the summit.
The eight World Innovation Summit for Health will be hosted by Doha in Qatar on December 10-11, according to a press release by organizer Qatar foundation.
Myanmar delegates attending the summit will leave for Qatar on December 9, though the attendance of the NLD chairperson.
WISH executive president Lord Darzi promised the renovation and upgrade of Yangon People's Hospital on his visit to Myanmar.
Suu Kyi is an UNAIDS global ambassador against discrimination and has just attended a World AIDS Day conference in Australia on December 2.
