Boston post-punk quartet Mission Of Burma (pictured) was together only a few short years — roughly from 1979 to 1983 — before guitarist Roger Miller's tinnitus became problematic. During that time, they released a few singles, one snarling, intelligent EP ("Signals, Calls and Marches") and a solitary, aggressive full-length ("VS") — enough material, that is, to influence people like Moby (who covered Mission Of Burma's "That's When I Reach For My Revolver") and Pearl Jam (who named its 1993 album, "VS," after MOB's debut full-length). Surprisingly, when Mission Of Burma regrouped in 2002, they sounded like they'd never taken a break, and four albums into their return — especially on 2012's "Unsound" — they're still blowing minds. Mission Of Burma plays the Spaceland Ballroom in Hamden on Friday, Feb. 6, with Sunburned Hand of the Man and Minibeast opening.
