The coach of the Myanmar side believes that his team will not fear their opponents and play their usual brand of football…
Myanmar's Nay Pyi Taw and India's Pune FC make their AFC Cup debuts on Wednesday as they clash at the Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune on Wednesday in a group H tie.
On being asked to name any player from Pune FC whom his side need to keep an eye on, coach Myo Hlaing Win said," I have noticed that their number seven (Mustapha Riga) is quite good. The Japanese player (Arata Izumi – who is Japanese-born Indian) is also good.
"Pune FC come into the game after playing the Champions League play-off. We have seen their videos on the internet and know they are one of the toughest team in our group."
He mentioned that despite their club having come into existence only in 2010, they have made tremendous progress to qualify for the group stages of the AFC Cup.
"We are a young club and were formed only in 2010. We want to make progress step-by- step. We finished second in the Myanmar league last year. Now we have come into the AFC Cup. We will try to play the game in our style and not get too pressurized."
"We have begun our domestic season well. We have played four games and have 3 wins and a loss so far and have a fully fit squad."
