Do it cheap: £2,001pp

Spend your first afternoon admiring the glittering Shwedagon Pagoda, in
Rangoon, then fly to Bagan for a day exploring the beautiful temples of this
sacred area. Next, take a trip to see the pagodas at sunrise, then discover
some less familiar shrines on a cycle tour. On day four, head to Mandalay;
on day five, you'll cruise the Irrawaddy River to the ruins at Mingun. Days
six and seven are spent on the sublime Inle Lake, then it's back to Rangoon.

Check in at the luxurious Governor's Residence in time for cocktails and
dinner, rising early next morning for a tour of Rangoon. Next you're off to
Mandalay, to board the Orient-Express Road to Mandalay river boat for four
nights. You'll see Mingun, then stop
