3 Chinese die in highway crash









Three Chinese nationals were killed in a vehicle crash on the Yangon-Mandalay expressway on November 26, according to sources.


The accident took place after a tire of their vehicles punctured near Mile Post No. 318 when they were en route to Mandalay from Yangon.


Longdaki, 42, Jiang Joa Lai, 37, and Ma Fung, 58, died on the spot. Driver of the vehicle, Jio Min Chang, 38, and another passenger, Loa Sha Tung, 35, received serious injuries.


Sources said over 150 accidents took place on the Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw section by the end of 2010, causing at least 80 deaths.
