Bagan's service sectors fail to meet tourist demands

Various service sectors in Bagan have been failing to meet the demands of an increased number of foreign tourists, sources from the tourism industry say.
An increase in domestic flight demand is one of the main problems for the tourists who were unable to book flight tickets.
"We have to make arrangements for (the tourists) to travel by car from Bagan to Inle Lake and Taunggyi because of flight booking difficulties," said a general manager (upper Myanmar) from a tour company.
A tour guide also said hotel room arrangements had to be made for the tourists when there were not enough rooms while the tour guides have to stay at monasteries or with their friends.
Most tourist guides are afraid that the tourists will leave due to the requirements in the service sectors.
