SOUTH KOREA, JAPAN INSTRUMENTAL TO MYANMAR BOOM, IBT SUGGESTS

South Korean and Japanese firms are investing heavily in Myanmar to
get the country more suited for foreign investors, International
Business Times reported.

According McKinsey Co's estimation, such foreign sponsorship would
help one of the world's least developed countries increase its economy
from USD 45 million to 300 million in 2030.

South Korea and Japan would help Myanmar become "a more investor
friendly environment" soon, the report suggested.

Japan has pledged half a billion credit to Myanmar for infrastructural
development project in Myanmar.

South Korea also has plans to help Myanmar with a proposed project to
bridge Yangon and Dala crossing Yangon River and to establish a
Special Economic Zone in Dala near the commercial city.

Japan already is building a special economic zone in Thanlyin Township
