Indian telecom operator Aircel has partnered up with Myanma Posts and
Telecommunications, the state-owned telecom operator in Myanmar for
international roaming services, the Economic Times reported.
"A sizeable number of customers travel to Myanmar for work and leisure
and our international roaming services will allow them to be connected
24×7," the company's chief marketing officer Anupam Vasudev said.
It has become the first Indian telecom firm to provide similar
services in the neighbouring Myanmar.
The Indian telecom giant can offer 3G services. Myanmar will host SEA
Games this December and ASEAN meetings 2014, making spaces for
international roaming partners.
