India assured Myanmar that it would share probe into the bomb attack on the Bodh Gaya, a sacred Buddhist site, according to an DNA India report.
One Myanmar monk was injured in the serial bombings near the sacred Bo Tree which is believed to be the site where the Buddha attained Enlightenment more than 2500 years ago.
The Myanmar government and Nobel laureate parliamentarian Aung San Suu Kyi expressed shock at the bombings in early Sunday.
According to the report, visiting Indian foreign minister Ranjan Mathai who called on Myanmar counterpart Wunna Maung Lwin in the country's capital Nay Pyi Taw assured the Bodh Gaya "remains a place of peace and pilgrimage".
The injured Myanmar national is not in danger and has been taken good care of, says the report, citing an unnamed official source.
The foreign minister also met the Nobel laureate parliamentarian Aung San Suu Kyi and made it clear that the place would continue to be the place of peace.
According to the source, Myanmar and India has agreed to increasing cooperation in security.
The Bodh Gaya is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Buddhists in Myanmar and worldwide.
