Foreign investment from 32 world countries in Myanmar has reached USD 42 billion this year, International Business Times reported.
Myanmar saw USD 423 million investment from abroad in June alone with USD 329 million from neighbouring Thailand.
A total of 14 enterprises from four different countries Singapore, UK, China and India get the permission to invest in the countries in June.
According to Directorate of Investment and Companies Administration, most of the foreign investment in June were made in hotels and tourism.
The Myanmar government is inviting foreign investments in labor-intensive manufacturing industry.
Last year, 94 foreign investors invested more than USD 1.42 billion in Myanmar, according to the report.
Myanmar has awarded licenses to two international telecom operators Norway's Telenor and Qatar's Ooredoo as the country continue to liberalize its market and economy.
