Myanmar has tightened securities in Yangon International Airport and some parts in Yangon and Bago, the city near Yangon, with the fear of bombing after speculations of the possible bomb attacks surfaced.

Securities were beefed up in a ghetto in Hlinethaya Township in Yangon after speculations of bomb attacks in the night time on 9 July.

Rumours of bomb explosion in a high school in Bago caused the crowd to gather at the school only to see the school was not exploded.

Among those who gathered at the scene were parents of the students.

The situation returned to normalcy after an investigation by authorities, reported local newspaper 7Day, which cited a teacher of the school.

The similar rumours that a school was exploded also spread in Mandalay.

The rumours came in the light of campaigns which are believed to be motivated by radical religious vigilante groups and an explosion of Bodh Gaya in India, a sacred Buddhist site, that injured one Myanmar national.
