Germany's Condor Airlines launched direct flights to Yangon on November 6.
The airline operates weekly flights from Frankfurt to Yangon using a 268-seat Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft.
Condor Airlines had flight services to Myanmar between November 1995 and April 1996. Founded in 1995, it has operations in over 60 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America.
After significant reforms in the country, five other airlines have begun operating direct flights to Yangon since end-September: All Nippon Airways, Qatar Airways, EVA Air, Korean Air and Singapore Airlines.
Hong Kong-based Dragon Air will start operating direct flights to Yangon starting Jan 9, 2013, the airline said in October.
Yangon International Airport has 2.5 million passengers a year. Myanmar is building a new international airport in Bago, about 50 miles away from Yangon, to accommodate the increasing numbers of travellers. The new airport is set to accommodate 25 million travellers and will be completed in three years.
