Government forms information team

The government has formed an official information team to publicise information on politics, economy, security, warfare and natural disasters occurring in the country, according to the website of the President's Office on November 15.
The government issued order No 81/2012 to form the team in accordance with Section (24), Union Government Law, it said. The team will issue press releases and organise press conferences regarding the events occasionally.
The team consists of five members who are senior officials from government offices as well as the team leader, Aung Thein, the deputy minister for the ministry of the president's office.
