Myanmar is hosting its first international film festival in Junction Square in Yangon with the emphasis on human rights.
Local films highlighting human rights abuses under the former regime are being screened at the five-day festival on 15-19 June.
The "Human Rights Human Dignity" Film Festival is due to screen more than 50 foreign and local films.
The festival is organized under the patronage of Nobel laureate parliamentarian Aung San Suu Kyi and hosted by award-winning Myanmar documentary film-maker Min Htin Ko Ko Gyi.
