MYANMAR SUSPENDS LABOUR SUPPLY TO MALAYSIA

Myanmar has currently suspended the sending of workers to Malaysia due to safety concerns, Malaysian newspaper the Star reported.

Some hundreds Myanmar migrant workers returned to the Southeast Asian country in fear of recent violence broke out against them in Malaysia.



According to Eleven Myanmar, Myanmar overseas employment agencies are urged not to send any more workers to Malaysia.

Tens of thousands of Myanmar migrant labours are working for years in Malaysia as the once isolated country had lacked to provide employment for them.



Three Myanmar nationals were killed and some others injured in violence in various parts of Kuala Lumpur.
