Myanmar is ready to take over ASEAN Chairmanship in 2014 as
preparations are going well, the Jakata Post reported, citing Myanmar
ambassador to Indonesia Min Lwin.
"Now we have to think about the small and fine points. In September,
everything will be perfect," he is quoted as saying.
He said logistics and infrastructures to host ASEAN summits and
related meetings are almost ready.
A delegation of 15 Myanmar diplomats and other officials had various
consultations as part of of its efforts to seek Indonesia's
experiences and expertises in May in Jakarta which assume ASEAN
chairmanship in 2011.
