The government in Myanmar would spend USD 500 million for boosting the country's tourism industry, conserving the environment and benefit ethnic minorities.
According to Mizzima, the plan will be jointly funded by Asian Development Bank and the Norwegian government.
The plan would feature 38 development projects.
"Tourism will be a pillar of Myanmar's economy, and it has the potential to create meaningful job opportunities for the country's people," ADB vice-president Stephen Groff said.
