Business people from over twenty Japanese firms will visit Myanmar to explore investment opportunities, according to Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI).

About 50 business people from 20 industrial sectors, such as machinery, electric and power, construction and garment, will be led by the Executive Vice President of Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) and they will be here on August 5-7. On August 6, the Japanese business delegation will meet Myanmar counterparts.

Those attending the meeting will gain good opportunities as the Myanmar and Japanese businessmen are directly discussing trade and investment matters.

Over ten companies from Japan engaging in agricultural products led by JETRO headquarters visited Myanmar on July 30 and held discussions on imports of Myanmar rice and agricultural produce.

Most Japanese businessmen have been visiting Myanmar this year to promote trade ties. Among the above-mentioned businesses, businessmen from real estate, food production, consumer products, warehouses, fuels, cement, IT and car spare parts businesses are to be added to the growing number of the visitors' list.
