The Myanmar National League match between Nay Pyi Taw FC and Yangon United FC was suspended after clashes between players and between supporters, the state media reported.
Myanmar Football Federation Disciplinary Committee announced rulings over
the case Tuesday.
The decisions were made after watching CCTV records and hearing the officials.
The rulings suggest that Nay Pyi Taw FC which failed to prevent its
supporters from entering into the field would be banned to host
first season half of MNL next year and pay half of costs for repair of
Wunna Theiddhi Stadium.
The committee earlier said that those responsible to the damage would have to repay the cost of repair.
Nay Pyi Taw FC player Khaing Htoo will receive one-season ban, the
highest penalty against a player. Other Nay Pyi Taw FC players Zaw Lin
was handed five-match ban with the fine of K 0.5 million and Tin Zaw
Moe and Zaw Myo Oo, five-match ban with the fine of K 0.2 million
each.
Technical advisor U Myo Win and chief coach U Myo Hlaing Win received
three-match ban with the fine of K 0.5 million.
Assistant coach of Yangon United FC U Tin Maung Tun was banned for
three matches with the fine of K 0.5 million.
The only player to be convicted from Yangon United FC was Kyi Lin who
received three-match ban and the fine of K 0.5 million.
