Ailing Myanmar writer Min Lu died Wednesday night at Victorian Hospital in Yangon, leaving his loyal readers in sad mood.
He died of cancer at the hospital days after the death of another Myanmar writer Maung Wun Tha who also passed away at the same hospital.
He is the author of many acclaimed novels including "We", "Little Bird" and many others.
He is also known for his short fictions and essays and revered as one of a few satirists in Myanmar.
The writer was imprisoned by the military regime due to his sarcastic poem.
He died of lung cancer at the age of 54.
