Tens of thousands of people in a Myanmar-Thailand border town
witnessed flood after days of heavy rain, according to media reports.

As flood water increased drastically, many people were flocking into
nearby relief camps in the Kayin state town Myawady.

Heavy rains were reported in various parts in Myanmar these days in
the midst of monsoon which is the country with relative rainfall in
the region.

Seven Thai provinces were also flooded, according to the Bangkok Post,
with three people reported dead.

Myanmar's official newspaper Myanma Alinn said there was no casualty
up to 30 July.

One of its report claimed that the flood was caused by broken dams
near the border in Thailand. But there is still no report of any dam
breakdown from Thailand.

Roughly, 25,000 people are now living in flooded areas in the border
town where, the state-run newspaper reported, authorities are
conducting rescue operations and providing "necessary assistances" to
the victims.
