Myanmar has reached the overwhelming literacy rate of 95.13 percent in
2013, said education minister Dr Mya Aye, according to the local media
outlet Yangon Media Group.
The minister made the comment in a ceremony to market International
Literacy Day at Myanmar International Convention Centre on Monday.
Myanmar has 43181 basic education schools, he said in his address at
the ceremony.
Mobile schools will be opened for children of internally displaced
people affected by long-running civil war and other crisis.
He said the government is shaping inclusive education for the children
with disabilities and other difficulties.
The Education Ministry has set long-term education policies for
ensuring all the school-age children are schooled.
