Two airlines from Malaysia and Singapore will fly direct flights to
Nay Pyi Taw, the capital city of Myanmar, according to the local
newspaper Yangon Times.
Deputy transport minister Zin Yaw said these two airlines would launch
their direct flights to Nay Pyi Taw International Airport in coming
December.
Nay Pyi Taw has one of the biggest international airport but only a
few airlines stopped over at the airport.
Civil Aviation Department under the ministry has invited international
airlines to pick up passengers at the airport, said the deputy
minister at a recent parliamentary session.
"Two airlines from Malaysia and Singapore have proposed direct flights
to Nay Pyi Taw," the deputy minister is quoted as saying.
Though, he did not disclose the names of the airlines.
Two local airlines Apex and FMI will fly direct flights to Nay Pyi Taw
as well, according to the report.
