MYANMAR GUITAR MAKERS AWAIT LOANS FOR QUALITY PRODUCTION

Written by Admin on October 29, 2013. Posted in Business, News

Myanmar guitar industrialists said they could make quality instruments
and money is the only thing that matters, according to the Yangon
Times.

The industry needs adequate loans from the government to penetrate the
foreign markets.

The low-funded industry currently focuses on the local market,
supplying budget guitars for the local market.

If the technology and machinery could be provided, they would
challenge the international peers, said the guitar markers.

"Foreigners do not buy guitars from Myanmar," Kyaw Naing, a local
guitar marker, said.

"We have abundance of teak than foreign countries. If we could take
this advantage, we could penetrate the international market," another
unnamed guitar marker told the Yangon Times.
