Myanmar has exported nearly 40,000 tons of rubber this fiscal year and
made an export income of USD 94.518 million with the international
rubber price declining.
Myanmar exported 37,392 tons to date this fiscal year, with the
increase of more than 10,000 tons compared with the same period in the
previous year.
The international rubber price is declining. So, the country could
only make an increase in income of only USD 6 million from rubber
export.
"This year's rubber price is falling. The major market China's demand
is also declining," secretary of Myanmar rubber producers association
Khaing Myint said.
Myanmar has yet to reach the peak production season and many tons of
raw rubber to export.
