CHIN NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATED IN YANGON

The celebration of Chin National Day in Yangon on February 20
attracted some 1000 Chin national people, according to Kamayut Media
report.


The Chin National Day marks the independence of the Chin state from
the colonialists.


The ceremony was opened with the national anthem of Chin national, an

umbrella tribe of a number of ethnic groups.


The ceremony which marks the defeat of the suppressive colonialists
also got together all the Chin people dispersing around the country.


Chin culture and literature association and social organizations from
Chin State displayed booths in the hall.


Traditional foods and boutiques were sold at the exhibition.


Shan National Day and Mon National Day have been celebrated in
earlier February.
