Vehicles assembled by local automakers will be accepted by the
government as old vehicles and will allow to return, according to an
automobile news source MoeZac Auto.
The owners would be allow to return them to the licensing body as old
cars and receive a permit to buy new car as these would be considered
poor quality, according to the deputy rail transportation minister.
The minister declined to set the specific date for the acceptance of
these vehicles.
In response to a question by upper house member Dr Myat Nyana Soe, the
deputy minister answered that these would be "negotiated."
"We have to negotiate vehicles of how much licensing period of which
condition would be accepted," answered the deputy minister.
The government has allowed the return of old vehicles and the import
of new cars with license slips since 2012.
