A monastery in Bago region was relocated to a new place as a whole by
the traditional ways, according to the government-run Myanma Alinn
report.

Gon-min-ai monastery in Kanni village-tract in Toungoo Township in
Bago Region has the length of 180 ft, laying from south to north.

Villagers who volunteered in the effort employed 32 bullock carts and
125 labours.

They succeeded in moving the wooden structure without any crack or
wreck by the evening on February 14, according to the report.

It took about 31 hours to successfully evacuate the monastery building
to a new venue.

The monastery has also been moved in a new place, with the orientation
from east to west.
