Myanmar-China Merchants Association is planning to open its office in upper Myanmar capital Mandalay, according to the Voice report.
Mandalay is the focal point of Mandalay-China trading activities.
Vice-President of Myanmar-China Friendship Association Thein Htaik said the Myanmar-China Merchant Association office would be based in Mandalay.
The association will catalyst the business cooperation in infrastructural development and industry and will mediate business disputes between merchants to two neighbouring countries.
The efforts to open the office have been initiated since four years ago and the Mandalay office will be located at a Buddhist temple.
"One meeting of Myanmar-China local merchants has been held. Office space is being sought in a Buddhist temple," said the same source.
