Print A convoy of Chief Minister of Myanmar's Mandalay region U Ye Myint has been hit by a landmine attack, local media reported Saturday.
Also carrying two other regional ministers, the convoy was struck by a landmine explosion at a location of Naung Cho on Mogok- Pyin Oo Lwin motor road when the regional leaders were back from Shan state to Mandalay at about 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, said sources with the regional government.
Two members of the information team were slightly injured in the blast.
So far, no one claimed responsibility for the attack.
The regional police force is making investigation into the ambush which is said to be intentional, according to the report.
