NLD, 88 Gen to cooperate in compiling ex-political prisoner list
Myanmar's civil society organization 88 Generation Students Peace and
Open Society will team up with the country's largest opposition
National League for Democracy in compiling the lists of former
political prisoners in Myanmar, according to the Messenger report.
The two organizations have been seen closely cooperated in various
areas with three meetings between the two organizations.
The civil society group held three meetings with CEC members of NLD
led by Myanmar's Nobel laureate democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi.
Former Political Prisoners Association and AAPP are working to compile
the complete list of the former political prisoners in Myanmar.
Recently NLD and 88 Generation Students issued press releases on
constitutional reforms of the country as the party and group have
shared the same mission on reforming the controversial charter.
